Priesthood Blessings

My roommate has been sick off and on ever since school started. Tonight at ward prayer she asked a couple guys in our ward if they would give her blessing when they all got back home. They of course agreed, and came right over.
Two of my other roommates were in the room when I walked in, so I felt it was okay if I asked to stay, and be a part of it.
As soon as the second young man pronounced the words:
"By the power of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, Which I hold..."
A spirit came over me testifying of the power and divinity of the priesthood. I also had a feeling of overwhelming gratitude for those two men, who were in my home, and who exercise their priesthood righteously. Who understand, and live accordingly, to hold the power of our Beloved Heavenly Father.
Can you imagine the love He must have for us? To trust us with his power? How often do we forget the things he has done for us. I didn't realize, until tonight how much I missed living with a worthy priesthood holder. Right now I want to thank my Father and my Brothers for the examples they set for me. And to my Mom(s), Aunts, and Friends for setting the example of the kind of man I want to spend eternity with.
How often do we take "the small and simple things" for granted? From today I am going to strive to be better than I was yesterday. This is all he asks of us.

Zumba

Have you ever gone to a Zumba class? SO. DANG. MUCH. FUN!! We had a blast, and got a good workout as well! My friend and I are some of the most uncoordinated people you will ever find, it doesn't matter! Find a class and go! You will be glad you did!

Tonight a dear friend came over to visit me. I caught her all up on what was going on with me. Where I'm at in my paperwork, how my job is going, how I've been sick, and how/why my roommate is leaving Logan. When it was her turn to tell me her stories, she started telling me about her new boy and how cliche this romance is. (i.e. she thought she had felt this way before, but now that she really did she knew that past relationship wasn't real.)
I know I am making fun and really he is very nice and so sweet and such a good guy and they are cute together, but all we could do all night was laugh and giggle like we were middle schoolers talking about seeing this H-O-T HOT boy in math and knowing he was the one! At one point I bet her $20 that she couldn't keep a straight face for one minute. She of course lost.
So while she was losing this bet, our situation reminded me of another very familiar situation. And if we had magic nannies here in Logan this is what we would have looked like tonight!

Do you have any idea how fun crayons are?! Tonight, Lisa and I have done the coolest art project you have ever done with crayons! It is simple and fun and only makes a mess if you want it to.

Here is what you need:

-Blank Canvas
-Box of 64 Crayons
-Box of basic 8 Crayons
-Hair Dryer
-Hot Glue Gun

 Next, take all of the black and browns (and any other gross color you don't want!)

 Proceed to sorting Crayons into rainbow order and hot glue at top of canvas.

NOW. Here's the FUN part!!!!!

Get your hair dryer, and start melting the crayons!

You can drip the the consistency of your hearts desire!

Take a finishing your picture,

And mount on your wall!!!!

Update

So I know I am a blog slacker, but this time its not my fault. I share internet with the entire floor of my apartment, so needless to say, 18 people. One router. Internet sucks. So I am going to give you a very long update.

First of all. Emily. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Everything you sent will and can be used, and is very much appreciated!

So, the beginning of June, I recolored my hair. I do have pictures, but lets just say it was a very well made trade on my part.

Also, in June was the Wasatch Back Ragnar relay. We were Van 1. Our Team name was Wii NOT Fit. These are all of our Mii's

So now we are to July. Diane and I went on a roommate adventure on Friday. We went over to the Logan Mall and tried on fun dresses.

 These were my two favs out of all that I tried on!

I am a nerd. I accept that.
I love Star Trek Voyager.

I write Fan Fiction about Voyager.
I make my own movies about Voyager.
My Voyager buddy and I are going through the series again, but this time we are taking notes, so that when we make movies we can do it in a faster amount of time.
This same friend and I talked for a little while of going to Atlanta, Georgia for a Trek Con to meet the one and only Kate Mulgrew.
I am a nerd.

I'm in trouble.....

I HATE MONEY!!!
It rules the world and it sucks! I just got paid $275 three hours ago and I am already down to $68. What is more is that in 3 days one of my school loans is going to take $150 out of my account. You see my trouble?
I still need gas, and oil for my car. Not to mention I have to go renew my safety and emissions some time this month.
I am getting low on food.
I am almost out of shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
My other school loan is going to take another $110 from me at the end of the month.
And finally, I have my first rent check due on the 1st of July. The amount on this check needs to be $960....

Any suggestions?
